About me
Hello, I’m Alex. I spent ten years as a primary school teacher before leaving the classroom and finding my way into digital content.
Today I work as a Senior Digital Content Officer. I think about websites, content and how we make complicated information easier for people to understand and use.
Outside work, I like making things.
I’m learning game development (using Godot), occasionally make music, write about things I’m thinking about and go down technical rabbit holes because I enjoy understanding how things work.
Teaching still influences a lot of what I do. I love learning about how people learn, how we communicate ideas and how design can make complicated ideas feel simple.

A few things
- I have a BA in Music Composition for Film and Media and a PGCE in Primary Education.
- I taught for ten years before moving into digital content.
- I’m based in Brighton & Hove, UK.
Beyond Teaching
When I left teaching, I started building a free career-change course for other teachers. I completed two modules before I moved on from the project.
